*THE FIRST BELL RINGS AT 8:15. ALL STUDENTS ARE TO LINE UP ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE BUILDING AND THE SUPERVISORS WILL BRING THEM INTO THE BUILDING. SUPERVISORS ARE ON THE PLAYGROUND STARTING AT 7:30AM.

• All parents/visitors must sign in at the office and receive a Visitor's Badge before going to a classroom.

• Dress appropriately for recess. Children will need a written excuse to stay in for recess.
  

• With the exception of the front door, all school doors are locked during the school day.
  
  
• Second grade children are asked to enter/exit the building through the east doors of the school. Please have an outdoor meeting place for your child and siblings, rather than meeting at a classroom door.
  
  
• Periodically, I will send home book orders. You are not required to buy books, however, they are at a more reasonable price than if you were to purchase them in a store. Unless you tell me to hold your book order (for presents or a surprise gift), your child will bring home the books when they arrive.
  
  
• Please do NOT hand out birthday invitations at school.
• We are not allowed to give out addresses and phone numbers of students.
  
  I will send a newsletter home each Friday.
  
  
• PLEASE check the homework folder each night. If you need to send a note, money, etc. to school with your child, please place it in the homework folder to return to school.
  
  
• Please sign up if you are interested in helping in our classroom. I can always use someone to listen to children read, write spelling words or do math flashcards. We have two organized celebrations--Holiday Breakfast and Valentine's Party. Please sign up if you are able to provide supplies.
  
  
• Inclement weather: The phone School Reach program will notify parents about school closures and early dismissal due to inclement weather.

We will not be going outside for recess if the "feels like" temperature is below zero.
